Join your host Emilee Shuler, along with co-host Dusty Brown, as we interview Safety Training, an up and coming Gulf Coast band meeting your "South Alabama sad songs" needs! With a wide range of influences from death metal to midwestern emo all the way to John Mayer (may we suggest playing a drinking game where you drink every time one of us mentions "John Mayer"), Safety Training is a conglomeration of talented musicians that come together to create music that is beautiful and thought-provoking, but also just heavy enough. Safety Training consists of Nick Rhodes (vocals, guitar), Mike Martinez (guitar), Ben White (bass), and Dustin Harris (drums) - and it all started with a Bowflex! They currently have 2 singles out on all major streaming platforms - "Inside My Mind" and "Just Breathing," both of which they perform at the end of this episode.
